About us Federico II University Hospital (AOU) is a health center of excellence in Southern Italy that hosts over 50 specialization courses and master's degrees from the Federico II University Medical School. Provides hospitalization, day hospital, day-service and outpatient activities. The AOU participates in regional and national programs of health care in organ transplantation, maternal and child protection, cardiology, cardiac surgery, hosting the regional centers for kidney and bone marrow transplants, cardiovascular diseases and specific pediatric diseases, providing a high level of specialized care. Since 2013, the Research & Development unit, manages the 's Campania Region Reference Site of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healty Ageing (EIP on AHA), ensuring collaboration with many local and regional stakeholders. The title of Reference Site was also recognized by the Campania Region with decision of the Regional Council n. 622 of 11/13/2012, through the establishment of a coordination group to pursue the strategic implementation plan of the EIP on AHA. Federico II University Hospital is aligned with the regional objectives in terms of health innovation and supports the participation of local clusters, planning and coordinating their activities within the European Partnership on Healthy and Active Aging (EIP-AHA). Finally, it supports regional partners in their project commitments, collaborating with local and regional stakeholders, such as universities, health service providers, social services, local communities and municipalities who have worked in the context of different European Partnership Action Groups on Healthy and Active Aging (EIP-AHA). Reference Site Collaborative Network (RSCN) Reference Sites Collaborative Network (RSCN) is a non-profit organization that brings together all the Regions included in the European partnership for innovation on healthy and active aging (EIP on AHA), and the regions that are candidates to become Reference Sites. AOU Federico II, through the close collaboration with the Promotion and enhancement of Health Innovation programs Unit of Campania Region, actively and efficiently supports the RSCN. This network aims to pursue educational, scientific and philanthropic activities in order to: o Share experiences in the development of health strategies and policies, care models for the provision of services in order to develop approaches and good practices; o Evaluate whether each good practice is ready for scaled application across Europe, or if further assessments and tests are needed; o Identify and tackle horizontal problems between the three EIP pillars and consider how the different elements could be incorporated to provide a holistic framework; o Communicate with the European Commission and react to developments in EU policies from a regional perspective; o Provide a high-quality regional and local perspective on health and care and provide assistance, both operationally and politically, to the Commission in the process of developing new policies, programs and initiatives within the EIP on AHA objectives; o Through its members, feeding existing collaborations and create new ones with other partners in the Reference Site's collaborative network in which common objectives and areas of interest were shared in order to identify suitable projects where solutions development was needed; o Work with the Regions on common projects, both with their own resources and creating partnerships in EU funding calls. Programma Mattone Internazionale Salute (Pro.M.I.S.) Mattone Internazionale Project has become a permanent structure in support of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces in their internationalization processes: its new name is Pro.M.I.S, Mattone Internazionale Salute Programme. The Health Commission of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces Conference on July 29, 2015, approved the institutionalization proposal drafted by the restricted group, composed of representatives of the Ministry of Health and representatives of the Basilicata, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Marche, Piedmont, Sicily, Veneto and Valle D'Aosta Regions and the Autonomous Province of Trento. The AOU Federico II actively collaborates in the Work Tables organized by the Campania Region, sharing the main objectives pursued by the Pro.M.I.S. network, which are: o offer a full involvement of the various health actors; o represent an innovative model of "governance" that is effective for projects of supra-regional interest aimed at accessing European funds; o allow the dissemination of design methodologies and develop proposals of regional interest, disseminating the results; o establish a serious and in-depth methodology for training and dissemination of project and networking methods, which is the basis of European programming, favoring international research initiatives in the field of public health.
